*OBITUARY
Carrie Lee Muncy Elliott, 70, died Wed., March 19, 1997, in Batesville. She was born Nov. 17, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Henry Russell and Mamie Etta Whiteaker Muncy. She was a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ and Redbud EHC. Survivors include her husband, Mervin Elliott; two daughters, Linda Taylor of Oxford and Shelia Phipps of Jonesboro; five sisters, Norma Jean Green of Huston, TX, Billie Jo McClellan of Mtn. Home, AR, Hazel Ruth Conyers of Manson, WA, Mary Kathryn Stapleton of Calico Rock, and Nancy Ann Stapleton of Peron; a brother, Jim Muncy of Melbourne; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. The funeral was Saturday at the Melbourne Church of Christ with Tom Brister and David Gibson officiating. Burial was in Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
