Hope Eliason, 72, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010, with her family surrounding her, after a short battle with cancer. She was born April 10, 1938 in Grygla, Minn. Hope was a member of Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church, Young at Heart Chorus Group and the Happy Plunkers Ukele Band. She also was talented as a watercolor artist and creative in many ways. She was preceded in death by her parents Jorgen and Kathleen Jelle and one grandson, Tony Nguyen. She is survived by her Jeff O'Neill from Springfield, Paula Hoeppner and husband Stephan from Springfield, and Lori husband of 52 years, V Edward Eliason; Three daughters, Debbie Eliason and boyfriend Decker and husband Michael from Rogersville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother and four sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. at Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church in Springfield Friday, May 14th with Pastor Greg Esselman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Heights Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund.
