Calvin Cecil Mynatt of Melbourne, son of the late Joseph Calvin and Oma Frances Walker Mynatt, was born in Gid and died Tuesday July 2, 1991 at the White River Medical Center at Batesville at the age of 69.
He was a welder-mechanic for the Izard County Road Department, an army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, a Mason and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Cuba Edwards Mynatt; two daughters, Patricia L. Brown of Cave City and Rhonda A. Mynatt of Melbourne; a brother, Hubert Mynatt of Petaluma, California; two sisters, Verbal Davis of Calico Rock and Bonnie Green of Lakeport, California and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday at 2 p.m. in Midway Baptist Church with Jim Hilderbrand officiating. Pallbearers were R. B. Floyd, Boyce Sheffield, Ronnie Davis, D. R. Edwards, Howard Lamb and Gene Love. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Weaver, Bill Bates and Berton Pittman. Burial was in the Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home.
