1934 - 2006
Glen Vinton "Bub" Kupfner, 71, of Hamburg died Tuesday, January 3, 2005, at his home. A native of Parkersburg, WV, and a Hamburg resident for the past three years, he was a retired offshore engineer.
Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Virginia Herrington Kupfner; a stepson, Billy and wife Tara Sanders of West Monroe, LA; a daughter, Michelle Kupfner of Greenville, MS; three stepdaughters, Cindy and husband Darrell Page and Tina and husband Ronald Dicks of West Monroe and Stacy and husband Michael Adams of Hamburg; three brothers, G. H. Kupfner of Leland, MS, and Lawney and Paul Kupfner of Parkersburg; a sister, Vera Laynor of Parkersburg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Clifton Kupfner; and his parents, Fred Henry and Amy Kupfner.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, in the Mount Zion Baptist Church in the Berlin community. Burial was at 5 p.m. Friday, January 6, at the Mount Zion Cemetery with arrangements by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
