*Obituary
Gus H. Campbell of Melbourne died on Sept. 29, 2003 in Melbourne. He was born on April 8, 1910 in Melbourne. He was the son of John Duncan Campbell, and O'Beria Rose Campbell.
He served in World War II in the Army. Was a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ; DAV, AARP, and the Sons of the Confederacy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Tetrick Campbell; his parents; four brothers, Tom, Guy, Carl and Joe Campbell; one nephew, Weldon Campbell, and one niece, Robbie Jeffery. Survivors include: two nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Thurs., Oct. 2, 2003 at the Melbourne Church of Christ with Chuck Crow, Erick Williamson, and Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery under the direction of Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers were: Rocky Campbell, Rusty Campbell, Bradley Sipe, Doug Sipe, Randy Jeffery, and Shelby Qualls. Honorary Pallbearers were: David Clark, James Clark, Charles Cheatham, Leon Cooper, and Fred Blankenship
