Mary Gattis Campbell, 85, of Melbourne died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, in a hospital in Batesville.
Born Sept. 12, 1915, in Newburg, she was the daughter of James and Alma Watters Gattis. She was a homemaker, a retired nurse’s aide and a member of the Melbourne Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Madeline Sipe of Melbourne; two brothers, Ray Gattis of Harrison and Bill Duffy of Washington state; a sister, Nela Yancey of Mulberry; a grandson, Bradley Sipe of Maumelle; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Sipe and Mary Hannah Sipe, both of Maumelle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Campbell; three brothers, Freeman Gattis, Howard Gattis and Ray Duffy; and two sisters, Audy LaFevers and Mae Harris.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Crow and Glen Green officiating. Burial will be at Combs Cemetery at Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Al Gillihan, David Clark, Rocky Campbell, Bob Martin, David Duffy, Terry Duffy, Franklin Rush and Cleo Rush.
