Elizabeth Dickey
GENTRY — Elizabeth "Beth" Dickey, 87, of Gentry died Dec. 1, 2007, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1920, in Oklahoma City to James Earl and Gertrude Woods Newland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Dickey, on April 14, 1996. She retired from Emerson Electric in Rogers and was a member of the First Christian Church in Gentry and a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, John David Dickey and wife Gloria of Fort Worth, Texas, Robert Patrick Dickey and wife Bettyanne of Seattle, Michael Dickey and wife Teresa of Sand Springs, Okla., and Dennis Ray Dickey and wife Laurie of Gentry; one daughter, Mary McDowell and husband Keith of Gentry; one brother, James Earl Newland of Corona, Calif.; two sisters, Marge McGee of Dodge City, Kan., Jennie Weems of Sapulpa, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were Dec. 4 at First Christian Church in Gentry with Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial was in Springtown Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
