OMER LUTHER GARRETT
Omer Luther Garrett, 82-year-old resident of Route 1, Southwest City, Mo. died Friday, February 24, at the Grove Memorial Hospital, Grove, Okla. following an extended illness. He was born January 2, 1896 in Springtown, Ark., the son of James and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Garrett. He retired from the Allen Canning Company of Siloam Springs and moved to Southwest City in 1963. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Garrett is survived by: two daughters, Mrs. Roberta Quarles of Tulsa, Okla, and Mrs. Eleine Cantrell of Southwest City, Mo.; two sons, Harold Garrett of Southwest City, Mo. and Luther Garrett of Antioch, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Parret officiating.
Burial was in the Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
