John Edwin Matrow, 94, of Fayetteville, died May 3 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1883, at Junction City, Kan., he was the son of Edwin and Debra Robinson Matrow and a retired employee of Junction City Water Department. He moved to Fayetteville four years ago and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Morris Matrow of the home; one son, the Rev. Jack Matrow of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Stiers of Fayetteville; one stepson, Leroy Carruthers of Galveston, Texas; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dowell's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. James Burton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.
