MELBOURNE - Hazel Bryant Lamb, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, in Melbourne. Born Sept. 1, 1910, in Guion, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Marshall and Elizabeth Jane Wooten Bryant. She was a homemaker and a member of the Guion Extension Homemakers Club, Guion Quilting Club and the Guion Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Lamb Dehls of Piggott and Armelda Ruth "Sue" Reynolds of Melbourne; three sons, E.F. "Son" Lamb Jr. of Melbourne, Howard Keith Lamb of Mount Pleasant and Fred J. Lamb of Guion; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Dehls, Lynn Dehls, Stewart Dehls, Bryant Lamb, Mara Lamb Malcom, E.F. "Trey" Lamb III, Brooke Lamb and Joe Lamb; and three great-grandchildren, Bradley K. Lamb, Callie Malcom and Grace Malcom. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Floyd Lamb; a brother, Marshall Bryant; and a sister, Myrtle Lesan. The funeral began at 10 a.m. today at Guion Church of Christ with Glen Pace officiating. Burial was in Campbell Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne. Pallbearers were Donald Weaver, Eugene Barksdale, Howard Moser, Bobby Langston, Leonard Collie, John Q. Teague and Elvin Arnold. Honorary pallbearers were Dick Williamson, Shelby Upton, Billy Engles and Delano Frazier. Memorials may be made to the Pioneer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne.
