MOUNT PLEASANT - Kennard Earl Collie, 64, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at his home.
Born Aug. 29, 1941, in Guion, he was the son of Henry Jackson Collie and Mattie Modess Jackson Collie Stowers. He was a heavy equipment operator and construction worker.
Survivors include a son, Tim Collie of Rogers; a daughter, Cheryl Massey of Melbourne; three brothers, Leonard Collie of Mount Pleasant, Burton Collie of Mountain Home and Kenneth Collie of Newport; two sisters, Judy Qualls of Evening Shade and Jenice Haley of Melbourne; and three grandchildren, Chase Massey, Cameron Massey and Katie Collie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ida Jo Rhodenbaugh.
A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Honorary pallbearers are Fred Lamb, Howard Lamb, Larry Hill, Jerry Killian, Lowell Wheelis, Ronnie Davis, Jared Moxley, Dennis Williams and John Q. Teague.
