Obituary
Sister Alberta Cain Watts was born on November 24, 1945 in Lake Village, AR., to the late Jim and Velma Miller. She was the sixth child of eleven siblings. One brother, Fudge Williams and two sisters; Martha Jean Cain and Louise Cain Webb, preceded her in death. Alberta Cain was united in holy matrimony on October 12, 1973 to the late Leonard Watts, Sr. She was the stepmother of four children; Leonard Watts, Jr., Marvin, Lucille and Rosemary Watts, which Marvin preceded her in death. She later married the late Robert K. Scott.
She accepted Christ at the age of twelve, and was affiliated with the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, # 2 Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Alberta attended religious institutions and believed in Christianity. She was a faithful member of the Seven Star Baptist Church where she served as program chairperson, president of Pastor's Auxiliary Club and assistant secretary/treasurer. She was also a member of the Eudora Mass Choir and the Eudora/Holly Ridge Chapter 194 Order of the Eastern Star.

As a pioneer on the field of education for thirty years, it's memorial fact, the she enjoyed working with the children of Arkansas and Mississippi. Alberta strongly believed in education and she was, herself a lifelong student of "reading". She was a graduate of Arkansas Baptist College (BS). She also received a Reading Special Degree and MSE from Quachita Baptist University. She did further studies at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Henderson State, Arkansas State, Rhodes College, Louisiana State University, Delta State, Kentucky State, Missouri State College and the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Alberta was a member of the Delta Teachers Academy, the National Faculty, Eudora Education Association, Nation Reading Council and Retired Teacher Association.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five sisters; Clementine (Howard) Lewis, Jeraldine Tucker and Evlynene Kirkendolph, all of Lake Village, Ruby (Edward) Smith, of Pine Bluff, Linda Rose Cain, of Eudora, and two brothers; Jim Cain, Jr., of Chicago, IL, Rev. Tyler (Jessie) Cain, of Conway, two special God-daughters; Linda Lewis, of Oakland, CA and Anita (Undra) Lambert, of Little Rock, two special nieces; Mary (John) Jones, of Pine Bluff and Mitty (Christopher) Tyler, of Irving, TX, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Favorite scripture; Psalms 121: 1-5.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 6 from 4-5:30 pm at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake Village. Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 7 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. L.B. Brown officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Brooks, Gary Smith, Marcus Green, Fabian Cain, James Cain and Robert Cain. Honorary Pallbearers are Deacons of Seven Star Baptist Church. Burial at New Cemetery in Lake Village Ar., under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. www.cromwellfuneralhome.net
