Clarence Linebarger
Clarence A. Linebarger, Sr., 88, of Bentonville, died Friday night at the Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 17, 1889, in West Union, Ind.
He was one of the developers of the Bella Vista summer resort area. He was a member of the Bentonville First United Methodist Church, a member of the Bentonville Masonic Lodge No. 56 and the Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 23 of Henderson, Texas. He was also a Shriner and was a past president and a charter member of the Bentonville Rotary Club.
Survivors include three granddaughlers, Mrs. Carole Westby of Kilua, Hawaii, Mrs. Ann Boyd of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Charity George of Sacramento, Calif., and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will he held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Callison and McKinney Funeral Chapel in Bentonville with Rev. Jack Vinson, officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
