Burton Vance Tate, Jr.,52, of Melbourne died Monday, September 20, 2010 in Batesville, AR.
Born March 3, 1958 in Pasadena TX. He was the son of Burton Vance Tate, Sr. and Mary Miller Tate.
Survivors include a son, Chance Tate of Melbourne: his father, of Melbourne; two aunts, Diann Kent of Springfield, Mo and Jeane Tate of Melbourne; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Bert and Gertie Tate and J.C. and Winnie Miller; six uncles and five aunts. The funeral was Thursday at 2 pm at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Lunenburg Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers was Larry Hill, Gary Garner, Greg Ward, Eddie Howard, Leland Nave and Rick Horton.
Honorary pallbearers was Gery Lawrence, Wayne Hopper, Rick Dowdle and members of Wilson Creek Hunting Club.
