David Gerald Harris, age 43, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. Born in Heber Springs on November 1, 1967, he was the son of Lonnie Wayne and Linda Sue (Davis) Harris.
David's occupation was a plumber. He was a member of the Assembly of God.
His grandparents, Herb and Alice Harris and Vernon and Violet Davis, preceded him in death.
David is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Sue Harris of Heber Springs; one brother, Jim Harris and wife, Beth, of Sherwood; one sister, Regnia Hite and husband, Jon, of Conway; and his nieces and nephews, Harrisson Hite, Grant Hite, Allen Hite, Olivia Harris, Matthew Brush and wife, Jenna, and Rebecca Rutherford and husband, Chris. David is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 30, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 31, at 2:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel with Rev. Bob Perry and Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the South Cross Roads Cemetery. Bobby Childers, Brian Harris, Alan Bell, Colt Gilpin, Cody Gilpin, Harvey Sloate, Henry Sloate, and Matthew Brush will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Harlan Gilpin.
