AIRMAN BASIC US Air Force
November 1, 1945 - September 12, 1999
Mr. Charles Louis Adams, 53, of Hamburg died Sunday, September 12, 1999, at the South Arkansas Medical Center in El Dorado. A native of Ashley County and a resident of the Berlin community, he was a retired timber worker, a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church on the Berlin Road, and an U. S. Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Hattie Pollock Adams; a brother, Glenn Adams; and a sister, Virginia Adams. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Faye Holland Adams; a son, Michael Louis Adams and wife Stacey; a daughter, Wanda Livingston and husband Bobby, all of Hamburg; six brothers, James and W. T. Adams of Crossett and Richard Lee, Clifton, Carl and Donald Adams of Hamburg; and a granddaughter, Kayla Livingston. Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Monday, September 13, in the Mount Zion Baptist Church on the Berlin Road with Revs. James Fleming and Lawrence Amos officiating. Pallbearers were Doyle Coody, Dennis, Richard, and Dennie Floyd Holland, Johnny Haynes, and Earl Pollock. Burial followed services at the Mount Zion Cemetery, directed by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
