Robert P. Haddock was born near Dalton, Georgia Feb 17th, 1868 and died at Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas, March 10th, 1931 aged 63 years and 21 days. While a young man he worked as a street car conductor Chattanooga, and had the run up Lookout Mountain. In 1894 he came to Arkansas and was united in marriage with Susanna S. Moser, Jan 27, 1895. To this union was born the following children, Who survive him: Clifford Eustis, Gretchen Geona, Ollie Selene Blue, Granville Crenshaw and Hurvy Thelmer, all of Mt. Pleasant. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and children and two brothers and one sisters; Henry Haddock, Cushman; Ed Haddock and Mrs Leler Needham of Honey Grove, Texas. Mr Haddock lived for 36 years in Izard County where he was a respected citizen. He united with Blue Chapel Presbyterian Church in 1901 and was elected an elder in 1909. Hence it was appropriate that the funeral service should have been held in that Church, which is still standing although no regular services have been held there for years. The services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. T. S. Hickman and interment was in the Blue Chapel graveyard. (some of the names may not be spelled correct they are as written in newspaper)
