Velma Leach Stubblefield, 83, of Corning, Ark. died Thursday Feb. 26, 2004, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab in Pocahontas, Ark.
Mrs. Stubblefield was born Feb. 15, 1921, at Supply, Ark. and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a retired nursing home CNA and enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
On Oct. 26, 1979, she married Homer Stubblefield. He survives. She was previously married to Everette Leach, he preceded her in death in 1965 and later to Edgar Owens, who preceded her in death in 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Purdom of Corning; one son, Bill Leach of Corning; one sister, Tommie Moist of Goshen, Ind.; three brothers, Richard Perrin of Goshen, Don Perrin of New Mexico and Ron Perrin of Michigan; eight grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Darrell Fears officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning.
Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home.
