BRIGHTON, Colo. — Virginia Johnson Craig was born June 27, 1920, in Bentonville, Ark., the only daughter of Owen and Elva Johnson. She went to be with the Lord on Feb. 26, 2011, in Brighton, Colo.
She lived in Pea Ridge, Ark., where she graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1938 and then attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs. Ark., where she met Virgle E. Craig. They were married on Sept. 22, 1940. They moved to Toccoa, Ga., where they owned radio station WLET. They moved to Brighton, Colo., in 1965 and owned radio station KBRN. Virginia worked for Adams County Department of Human Services and retired in 1984. She was always interested in the activities of her children and grandchildren.
Virginia was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Brighton, Colo. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 11 years old and lived a dedicated Christian life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgle E. Craig on Feb. 6, 2003.
She is survived by her children, Terry Craig of Longwood, Fla., Kathleen Glinsmann of Carrollton, Texas, and Cynthia Roberson of Sarcoxie, Mo. Survivors also include nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Chester Johnson and Bobby Johnson; and many friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. March 5 at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Memorial services will be held on April 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, Colo.
