John A. Barnes, 83, of Chester, Arkansas died Monday at his home. A lifelong resident of Crawford County, he was retired from the Rim and Bow Company of Fort Smith, Arkansas and attended the Grandview Assembly of God Church of Natural Dam.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grandview Assembly of God Church of Natural Dam. Burial was on March 2, 1983 at Hall Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife; four sons; five sisters, Ellen, Lizzie, Julie, Ruby and Myrtle; two brothers; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Isabel Barnes, 86, died Tuesday November 19, 1991, at a local nursing home.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Faith. She attended Shamrock Church.
Survivors are four sons; two sisters; three brothers; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at Hall Cemetery Arbor with burial at Hall Cemetery. The Rev. Pearcy Atwell officiated.
