Florence Irene Arnhart, 78 of Conway, died at her home Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Mrs. Arnhart was born October 1, 1930 in Hamburg, NY to the late Earl and Pearl (Myers) Wilcox. She is also preceded in death by brother Earl Wilcox, Jr.
Florence was a military wife, living in several states and foreign countries. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, and in recent years became very involved in genealogy research. She was a direct descendent of the founder of Rhode Island. She kept in touch with distant relatives by using her new found computer skills.
Mrs. Arnhart is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Arnhart; children Thomas S. Arnhart and wife Jeanette of Rogers, David W. Arnhart and wife Lisa of Albuquerque, NM, Nina Tancredi and husband Louis of Wayne, PA, Lucille Mulkern of Beebe, AR, and Carol Ann Sayer and husband Jim of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren Jennifer Petrolati-Shepski, Amy Petrolati, Sarah Bull, Alexandra Arnhart, Cassandra Arnhart, Camber Alison Arnhart, and Mary Catherine Lucille Arnhart; great-grandchildren Cash Shepski, Maybelle Shepski, Natalie Bull and Aunika Bull; and siblings Alice Hood of Loma Linda, CA, Ruth Moore of Lincoln City, OR, Donald Wilcox of Independence, MO, Esther Nichols of Fresno, CA, Jerry Wilcox of Riverside, CA, Carol Moltke of Mt. Vernon, WA, Mary Martin of Abilene, TX, and James Wilcox of Beaver Dam, AZ.
Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Crabtree Cemetery, outside of Clinton. Arrangements by Griffin Leggett Funeral Home
