Vivian Joan Ryan, age 63, of Little Rock, AR passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center after a 17-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born at Blue Mountain, AR to George C. and Mildred (Loyd Ryan. She graduated from Magazine High School and attended Arkansas Tech at Russellville. She was a member of the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, a member and past Worthy Matron of Levy Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Beta Lambda Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Carroll Ryan and a niece, Ryan D. Chadwick.
She is survived by Ray Russell of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Gene (Ryan) and Elmo Hurst and Grace (Ryan and Ted Calva; a great nephew and a host of cousins, classmates and friends.
Funeral service was July 11 at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Lynn W. Lindsey and Dr. Jeffrey B. Hampton. Burial was Wednesday, July 12 at 1 p. m. at Blue Mountain Cemetery, Blue Mountain, AR. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home.
