SILOAM SPRINGS — Virginia Elizabeth Philpot, 86, of Siloam Springs died Jan. 20, 2000, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
She was born Nov. 29, 1913, in Siloam Springs to Virgil and Mollie Powell Huffman.
She was a life resident of Siloam Springs and was retired from Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Philpot, in 1990.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Wallace Philpot and Aleen of Irving, Texas, Paul Philpot and Beverly of Siloam Springs, Bruce Philpot and Suzanne of Irving; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Shook and Gordon of Siloam Springs; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Dan Crenshaw officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
