Obituary
NATURAL DAM — Raymond R. Carter, 51, of Natural Dam died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at his home. He was an elder at First Church of God in Natural Dam, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. He was an employee of Whirlpool Corporation. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Emery Carter.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Natural Dam Church of God. Burial will be at Hall Cemetery near Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Annell Carter; a daughter, Sherri Shryock of Van Buren; a son, Claye Carter of Greenwood; his mother, Velma Carter of Natural Dam; four sisters, Alma Bolte and Ada Klomfas, both of Natural Dam, Norma Britt of Hartford and Donna Hill of Mulberry; a brother, Edward Carter of Natural Dam; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hershel Carter, Benjamine Bailey, Aaron and Dewayne Britt, Jerry Loggins and Jerry Davis.
