James “Tomie” Riddle, 95 of Atkins, passed away Friday April 22nd, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. He was born May 2, 1915 in Shiloh, AR. to the late James Walker and Maude (Bittle) Riddle. Tomie attended The Primitive Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII and landed at Normandy Beach and fought six major battles with the 3rd armored recon group.
Tomie is survived by his wife of sixty four years Leola Irene Riddle, a daughter, Leola Lindsey and husband, David of Atkins, a son, Fred Riddle, and wife Donna of Magazine, five grandsons, Paul, Jeffrey, and Stephen Lindsey, Thomas Allen, and Kenneth Riddle, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
