Our father, Delwin Lee Sherwood, of Heber Springs, was born July 3, 1955 in Mesa, Arizona and moved to Arkansas at the age of five. He greatly loved his parents, John and Barbara Sherwood, and his brothers and sisters, Warren Sherwood, Steve Sorensen, Denna Slade, Linda Brown, Jacolyn McKinney, Gary Sherwood, John Sherwood, Barton Sherwood, Edwin Sherwood, Shawna Bogle, LeAnna Baker, Chad Sherwood, and Brent Sherwood. On January 8, 1977 he married the sweetheart of his youth, Wyvone Gault Sherwood, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple, and together they raised their three children, Tana, John, and Mandy with much love and laughter. He cherished his seven grandchildren, Trent, Tristan, and Trinity Barley, Sydney Sherwood, Lydia, Brady, and Abigail Griffith, showering them with all the love and affection of a proud grandpa; they were the joy of his life. He is survived by all and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Quitman. Burial will follow at Rose Bud Cemetery. In leau of flowers memorials may be made in Delwins honor to Juanita Sherwood at First Security Bank. Arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net
