Junior J. Treat

Mr. Junior J. Treat, age 71 of Monkey Run passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 17,1941 on Walker Road in Mountain Home to Jesse H. and Roxie (Britt) Treat. He married Patsy L. Smith on June 9, 1960 at Monkey Run at the home of Reverend Herbert Messick.

Junior enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed RVing and vacationing on his Goldwing with Patsy and their many friends and family. He was a retired meat cutter and took great pride in raising beef cattle.

He is survived by his wife Patsy (Smith) Treat of Monkey Run; one daughter, Susan (John) Sparks of Mountain Home; one son, James Treat of Monkey Run; one granddaughter, Jamie (Kevin) Swetnam; one grandson, Jesse Sparks of Mountain Home; 1 step grandson, John Sparks, Jr. of Mountain View; 1 great granddaughter, Laykin Swetnam; 1 sister, Ilene (Roger) Roles of Erie, Kansas and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be 12-9 PM Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. Gravesides services, conducted by Pastor Gene Carson will be held 10 AM Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Monkey Run.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
