Staff Sgt. Aidren Leon Crow (U.S. Army, Retired), age 76, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Born in Morganton, Arkansas, on November 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Jonathon Jackson and Ara (Holliman) Crow.
Mr. Crow retired from the United States Army in 1974 after serving our country for more than 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded three bronze stars. Mr. Crow was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Family members who preceded him in death include his parents; one son, Larry Crow; one daughter, Ara Crow; and one grandson, Michael Bargas.
Mr. Crow is survived by his wife, Trautel Crow of Heber Springs; two sons, Matt Crow and his wife, Kathy, of Mena and Tom Crow of California; two daughters, Eva Mello and her husband, Randy, of Mena and Barbara Wooten and her husband, Michael, of Heber Springs; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Mr. Crow is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10:00 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor David Krause officiating. Mike Wooten, Matt Crow, Wade Crow, John Crow, Randy Mello, and James Smith will serve as pallbearers. Interment with military honors will follow in the Flat Rock Cemetery.
