David C. Tapley, Jr., age 91, of Little Rock, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Mr. Tapley was born March 9, 1914 south of Quitman, Arkansas, a son of the late David C. Tapley Sr., and Maudie Ann Young Tapley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Neoma Bartlett Tapley, two brothers and four sisters. He was a retired Barber and hair stylist and owned several barber shops in the area and owned the very first barber shop in Park Plaza Mall. He was a life long member and deacon in the Life Line Baptist Church, a 32nd degree Mason and past Worthy Patron in the Brady Chapter of the Eastern Star. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army -Air Force.

He survived by his wife of 26 years, Juanita Robinson Tapley; his daughter, Jeannie T. Farmer and her husband, Paul; his son, Rob McClerkin; beloved grandchildren, Savannah and Hannah McClerkin, Jennifer Serio and her husband, Randy, Clint Farmer and his wife, Renee; beloved great-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Gillian Serio, B.J., Brianna and Brayden Farmer; his brother, Arthur Tapley; his sister, Minnie Evans; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock with Dr. LaDon Chancellor officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., at the Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Arkansas. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Southwest (501) 455-5800.
