Rex Edward Hammons, 88, of Warren, died Wednesday at Wagnon Place Nursing Home at Warren.
He was born Dec. 17, 1914, at Warren, a son of the late Arthur C. Hammons and Columbia Christine Robertson Hammons.
He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a retired boiler maker and a member of Local 69 at Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Muriel Jackson Hammons, who died Jan. 7, 1996; two brothers, Robert A. Hammons and Pat Hammons; two sisters, Virginia Burnett and Grace Benton; and one grandchild.
Survivors include four sons, Edward Arthur Hammons, Robert Hammons and Michael A. Hammons, all of Warren, and Thomas L. Hammons of Little Rock; one daughter, Darelyn Grider of Warren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Burial with full military honors will be in Oakland Cemetery.
