Captain James Thomas Lowman, Arkansas State Police, (Ret.), age 86, of Warren, AR. died Sunday December 20, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born August 25, 1923 in Pine Bluff, AR. a son of the late John Thomas Lowman and Ila Babcock Lowman he was a retired Captain for the Arkansas State Police, member First Baptist Church, World War II Army Air Corps. veteran and the widower of Carmen Young Lowman who died March 9, 2006. They were united in marriage February 7, 1950 in Warren, AR.
Survivors are a half brother John S. "Jack" Lowman, Decatur, AL. and a sister Mildred Meyer, Pine Bluff, AR.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday December 22, Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley and John S. "Jack" Lowman officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Marlin Raines soloist. Burial with Arkansas State Police honors was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were John D. Williams, Wade Wherry, Larry Wherry, Dennis Squires, Bill Jones and R.P. Outlaw.
