October 9, 1942 - April 29, 2009
James "Jim Ed" Edward Briley, 66, died, April 29, 2009. He was born October 9, 1942 and was a life long resident of Van Buren; he attended Van Buren Public Schools and was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of New Home Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Flossie Briley, and a sister, Donna Briley Bell.
He is survived by one sister, Marita Needham and her husband Arlis of Van Buren, AR; a brother-in-law, Carl Bell and his wife Annie of Johnson, AR; two nieces, Carla Phillips of Rogers, AR, Simone Brock of Dallas, TX; four nephews, Jeff Bell of Rogers, AR, Kevin Bell of El Paso, AR, David Needham of Van Buren, AR, and Brian Needham of Van Buren, AR; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Dripping Springs Community under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and cousins.
