Dekater Groves Jr., 65, of Star City, died Thursday at his home.
He was born March 22, 1938, in Bradley County, a son of the late Pleasant Dekater Groves Sr. and Hazel Blann Groves.
He was a truck driver and served in the Air Force.
He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Bernice Sickler, Maxine Adair, Reba Leciellci, Helen Groves and Wanda Akers.
Survivors include two brothers, Herman Groves and Johnnie Mack Groves, both of Warren; and one sister, Diane Sallee of Star City.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
