Betty Cooper Ragar, age 79, of Warren, AR. died Monday October 31, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born April 12, 1932 in Warren, AR. a daughter of the late Carl Cooper and Cassell Parnell Cooper she was a retired licensed social worker for the Arkansas Department of Human Service with 27 years of service and the Bradley County Medical Center with 17 years of service, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of James C. Ragar who died March 24, 2004. They were united in marriage June 22, 1949. Also, preceding her in death was a son Bob Ragar, brothers Hugh Cooper, Dr. Harold Cooper, sisters Pauline Burks, Catherine Harrod, Lucy Carter and Dorothy Pennington. Survivors are 1 son Jim Ragar and spouse Donna, Hot Springs, AR. 1 daughter Marilyn Raymer and spouse Bob, Sherwood, AR. A daughter in law Pam Ragar, Crestwood, KY. 7 grandchildren, Tony Ragar, Trent Ragar, Kelly Chaloupka, Scott Raymer, Kristin Steelman, John Ragar, Robert Ragar and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 3, Frazer's Chapel. Burial Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, at Frazer's. Memorials preferred Calvary Baptist Church; Sturgis and Arch Sts.; Warren, AR. 71671 or Bradley County Medical Center Benevolent Fund; 404 S. Bradley St.; Warren, AR. 71671.
