William (Bill) Edward Alred, 66, of Quitman, AR died Monday, August 27, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Heber Springs, AR. He was born on Friday, February 15, 1946 in DeArmandsville, AL, to the late Hugh Nolan and Erma (Seales) Alred.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of Green Memorial Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, and camping.
He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Nancy (Wittenburg) Alred of Quitman; two daughters, Laura Patrick (Jason) and Joni Tully (fiancé James Thomas), all of Quitman; five grandchildren; one sister, Billy Jean Pate of North Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three of his sisters, Shirley Miller, Alice McCoy, and Linda Talley; four brothers, Jerry Alred, Kenneth Alred, Jimmy Lee Alred, and Ronnie Alred.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Quitman.
The family would like to extend thanks to cardiologist Dr. Donald Meacham for thirty years of exceptional care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72201.
