Hoyle D. "Red" Baker, 76, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born October 30, 1931, in Banks, he was a son of the late Alpha Otis and Norma Haley Baker. He received his education in the Warren School District. He served in the Air Force from 1949-1954, having served in the Korean Conflict. He had been employed as the manager of the meat department with Safeway and Harvest Foods from 1964-1993. He also worked for AAA Limousine Service from 1993-2003. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Baker in June 2000.
Survivors include two sons; a sister; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 2 in the chapel of Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Warren with Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall in charge of arrangements.
