Benne Gene Bickers, 84, of Warren, died December 10, 2001, at Bradley County Medical Center at Warren.
Born May 1, 1917, in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Meridith McGriff and Mamie Jenkins McGriff.
She was a retired employee of Bradley County Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church at Warren.
She married Harle Bickers on September 3, 1937. He died January 26, 1994.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Hankins Knowles.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Bickers of Wilmar; a daughter, Carolyn Powell of Warren; a brother, Harold McGriff of Houma, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are for 10 a.m. Thursday at Frazer's Funeral Home at Warren. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
