Mrs. Marie Boyd, 98, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Palatka, AR.
She was a homemaker, she enjoyed working with flowers, making quilts, walking and reading her Bible, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.
She is survived by three sons Dallas Boyd of Birch Tree, MO., Lonnie Boyd of Knobel, AR., Norman Boyd of Texarkana, AR.; four daughters Leona Johnson of Knobel, AR., Darlene Dolan of Corning, AR., Evelyn Hines of Wilmington, NC., Gearaldine Demby of Frostproof, FL.; twenty-three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Boyd; parents John Minor and Olena (Lamb) Chappell; two sons Darrell and Loyal Boyd; one daughter Anita Allyn; four grand-children Kim Elmer, Ray, Ronnie and Jimmy Boyd and one great-grandson Aaron Grissom, and syblings: Leslie Chappell, John Chappell, Wilbern Chappell, and Milburn Chappell.
Burial was in Black Cemetery near Success, AR.
