Fred D. Stamps Sr.
BETHEL HEIGHTS — Fred D. Stamps Sr., 84, of Bethel Heights died Dec. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1924 in Marble to Samuel Peel Stamps and Sarah Melinda Thomas. He married Bonnie Jean Hammond on July 19, 1943, in Fayetteville.
Fred was manager/owner of Saums Lumber Co. in Springdale. He enjoyed gardening and coon hunting. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and he was loved by his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie J. Stamps, on July 1, 2006, after 62 years of marriage; and one grandson, Justin P. Stamps.
Survivors include two sons, Fred D. Stamps, Jr. and wife Janice of Highfill, and Dick B. Stamps and wife June of Springdale; three daughters, Sandra Jean Lewis and husband Richard of Summers, Linda Lewis of Tontitown, and Loretta Easton of Rogers; two sisters, Cleo Neff of Visalia, Calif., and Pansy Lea Nickles of Lynchburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and loving neighbors Carl and Dian Sarratt of Bethel Heights.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Sisemore and Richard Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Carl Sarratt, Rick Hammond, Don McKinnon, Casey Marietta, Brad Hodge, Shannon Mahl and Justin Metzger. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Wood, Scott Wood, J.R. Stamps, Thomas Stamps and Sam Robinson.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.

Bonnie Jean Stamps
SPRINGDALE — Bonnie Jean Stamps, 81, of Springdale died July l, 2006, at her home. She was born July 1, 1925, at Fayetteville to Alec and Lila Venus Hammond.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of the area and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Stamps of the home, to whom she was married July 19, 1943; two sons, Fred D. Stamps Jr. and wife Janice of Gentry, Dickie Bob Stamps and wife June of Springdale; three daughters, Sandra J. Lewis and husband Richard of New Delhi, India, Linda A. Lewis of Tontitown, Loretta Sue Easton of Rogers; three sisters, Wathena McAdoo of West Fork, JoAnn Wood of Greenland, Donna Leming of Elkins; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-granichildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Johnny Sisemore officiating.
Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dusty Stamps, Kevin Stamps. Jeremy Stamps, Samuel Robinson, Thomas Stamps and J. R. Stamps.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Sarratt, Rich Hammond, Casey Marietta, Aaron Toombs, Brad Hodge, Shannon Mahl and Justin Metzger.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
