Susan Dawn Criser-Lovern of Sallisaw was born Sept. 8, 1959, in Wichita, Kan. to James and Millie Criser. She passed from this life on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in Tulsa.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Lovern, of the home; her mother, of Van Buren, Ark.; her daughters, Carly Trammell and Haley Bass, both of Van Buren, and Ashley Lovern of Sallisaw; her sons, Arron Young and Timm Palmer, both of Fort Smith, Ark., and Adam Lovern of Tahlequah; her sisters, Lisa Criser-Hemminger and Kay Lynn Kennedy-Wilkinson, both of Van Buren and Sara Aziz and Selena Criser, both of Wichita; and her beloved grandchildren Sydnee, Frankee, Saydee, Cammee, Mason and Jason.

She was preceded in death by her father, her brother, Chipper Criser, her sister, Sylvia Criser-Syrock, and her grandparents, Frank and Quay Bernsten and Carl and Marie Criser.

She spent the last years of her life enjoying her love of art in many forms and mediums. She was an accomplished manager of Autozone Auto Parts and Exxon Family Shops through the 80s and 90s.

A celebration of her life was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at her and Carl’s home in Sallisaw. An additional service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Crawford County, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, plants that can be planted in her honor would be appreciated. Alternatively, a donation in any amount to The American Cancer Society in Susan’s name would be appreciated.

Services were entrusted to Adams Crest Cremation Center of Tulsa.
