Howard:
-Howard Holt was an over the road truck driver for ABF Freight System and was domiciled at the Fort Smith AR terminal. He was father to 3 children, Eugene Holt, Linda Holt and Martha Ann Holt. Howard and his family lived in Van Buren AR where the kids attended high school.

Alpha Holt, 73, of Dora died Aug. 3, 1990, in a Van Buren Hospital. She was born in the Ball Creek community in Madison County as Alpha Haskins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crawford County Democratic Women and the Dora Water Users Association. She was a member of the Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church near Rogers and attended the Alexander Memorial Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Holt, in 1989.

Survivors include one son, Gene Holt of Austin, Tex.; two daughters, Martha Pearcy and Linda May, both of Van Buren; two brothers, Doyle Haskins of Tulsa and Calvin Haskins of Pine Bluff; four sisters, Mildred Buttry of Pea Ridge, Ethel Lockhart of Springdale, Della Findley and Minnie Garrett, both of Rogers; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was a first cousin to Alta Faubus.

Services were at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was in the Dora Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold Loyd, Bill Wiley, Larry Garrett, Mike Sullivan, Ray Sullivan, and Darrell Lockhart.
