Lelah Barnard Morris, 94, of Warren, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Bradley County Medical Center.
Born June 30, 1913, in Independence, Kan., she was the daughter of Merwyn Gordan Barnard and Vera Simmons Barnard. A retired booker for Greyhound Bus Lines, she was a former worthy matron of the Warren Order of Eastern Star Chapter 3 and was a former Bradley County Woman of the Year. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Warren, where she taught Sunday School and was the director of the Women's Missionary Union for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Curtis Morris.
Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Visitation will be held from noon until service time Sunday at Frazer's.
