Betty Jackson
Betty (Tate) Jackson of Quitman died March 24, 2005, at Beverly Health
Care in Heber Springs. Born in Hughes on October 16, 1934, she was 70.
She was the daughter of the late William L. and Willie Agnes (Russell)
Tate.
She was a nurse's aide and had been a resident of Cleburne County for
most of her life. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis F. Jackson, on December
3, 2002.
She is survived by three sons, David Allen Jackson of Quitman, Robert
Wayne (Bobby) Jackson of Jacksonville and William Lane (Billy) Jackson
of Bee Branch; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is
also survived by other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held March 26 in the Palestine Baptist Church
with Rev. Kerry Smith and Rev. Bill Ward officiating. Interment followed
in the Pearson Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
