Robert Jessie Vick, 73, of Arkansas City AR passed away Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR.
He was a member of Arkansas City Baptist Church, worked for the U. S. Postal Service over 35 years as a rural route carrier and served as a water and sewer superintendent in Arkansas City for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Mr. Vick loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Vick is preceded in death by his parents Obie Elias Vick and Mable Dean Whittington.
He is survived by his wife Maxine Vick of Star City AR, two sons; Robert Vick Jr. of Little Rock AR, Jimmy Donley (Nedra) of Kelso AR, two daughters; Donna Riley (Gary) of Star City AR, Linda Reynolds (Ricky) of Hampton AR, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Mr. Vick was 2:00pm Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee AR with Rev. Gene Gregory officiating. Burial followed in McGehee Cemetery. Visitation was from 1 to 2pm before funeral service.
