GARFIELD — W.H. "Bill" Markey, 63, of Garfield died March 6, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Hackensack, N.J., to Jack and Grace Dienema-Markey.
He retired from the Arkansas state forestry after 30 years of service. He was a member of Pea Ridge Lodge 119 at Brightwater for 42 years. He was a member of Garfield First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Pittillo Markey of the home, to whom he was married 41 years; one son, William Markey of Garfield; one half brother, Harry Capobianco of Flemington, N.J.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Martin Cemetery in Larue with Craig Villianes officiating.
Visitation was from S to 7 p.m. March 8 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
