Betsy R. Spicer
Betsy Ross Wilkerson Spicer, 82, of Rogers died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Oct. 6, 1923, at Brightwater to Clum W. and Bettie Ross Wilkerson.
She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Rogers and was very active in many of the church activities.
She was a retired school teacher in the Rogers School System and a member of the Panhellenic Club, Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority, the Rogers PTA, county PTA, Rogers Historical Board and was an honorary Rotarian.
Survivors include her husband Russell of the home; two sons, Stanley Spicer and wife Doris of Russellville, Randy Spicer and wife Diane of Dallas; one daughter, Linda Clay and husband Bob of Rogers; two brothers, Tom Wilkerson of Rogers and Guy Wilkerson of Bentonville; two sisters, Mary Jean Creech of Rogers and Sarah Edna Key of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren Chris Spicer and wife Leslie, Brad Spicer and wife Lisa, Carrie Spicer, Natalie Spicer Wagner and husband Thomas, Meredeth Spicer Steele and husband Robert, Michael Clay, David Clay; great-grandchildren Scott Spicer, Benjamin Spicer, Braden Spicer, Nicholas Spicer, Matthew Spicer and Zoe Spicer.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at the Rogers Cemetery in Rogers with Biff Averitt, Jamie Alexander and Pam Cicioni officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. today at the Rollins Funeral Home.
