STANTON, Mary C. PRICE - {from New Hope} Mrs. Enos Stanton died at her home Saturday morning at 3 o'clock and while it had been known for several days that her condition was very serious, the announcement Saturday morning that she had passed away came as a shock for she was one of the best known and best loved women in our community. Mary C. Price was born April 22, 1885 at Rogers and died January 17th at the early age of 39 years, eight months and a few days. She was united in marriage to Enos E. Stanton September 14, 1908. To this union were born three children. The oldest, Enos Hallie, died February 26, 1920 and Schooley and Larry will miss the loving care of their mother just when they need it most. She professed religion in 1903, uniting with the First Christian Church of Rogers and was baptized June 21, 1921. Besides her heartbroken husband and two sons, there is left to mourn her untimely death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Balim Price, and three brothers, Hal, Fred and Don Price, with a host of other relatives and friends. Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home under the direction of J.W. Bryant and the services were conducted by Rev. T.B. Clark, pastor of the Christian church of Rogers, and were attended by a large crowd of weeping friends and neighbors. Mrs. Stanton was a leader in everything that stood for the upbuilding of school and church and was never happier than when doing a kind act for the sick or poverty stricken. She was one of the most active members of the New Hope Sunday school and we feel that the King's Daughter's class has suffered an irreparable loss in her death. Also the Fairview school district; in fact, we can think of no woman who would be missed so much both at home and abroad as Mrs. Stanton.

{from Fairview} Mrs. Enos Stanton suffered from appendicitis last week. The attack was sudden and violent and much medical aid was given but to no avail. She died Friday night and was buried Sunday in the Rogers cemetery. A large host of relatives and friends paid her their last homage. Two boys, ten and twelve years old, and her husband survive. We extend our sympathy and solicitude.
