Bernice:
Bernice "Granny" Rose, 82, of Dora, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 9, 2009. She was in Sparks-Peachtree Palliative Care Unit.
Born Bernice Schuster July 30, 1926 in Dora to Harvey & Allie Schuster, she was Granny to everyone who knew and loved her. She was a faithful member of Dora Assembly of God Church, and retired after several years working in retail and management. Of all the names and titles she was known by, Granny was the one she cherished the most. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred R. Rose, a grandson Glen Rose, a son Bobby Lynn Rose, a brother Tom Schuster, and a sister, Elsie Hicks.
She is survived by two sons; Fred E. Rose and wife Patricia of Dora, Tommy Rose and wife Kathy of Van Buren, a brother, Herbert "Hub" Schuster of Barling, two grandsons; Greg Rose and wife Kandatha of Van Buren, Joshua Rose and wife Heide of Placerville California, a step-grandson, Aaron Farley of Fort Smith, and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Arkansas. Revs. Bobby Mason Jr. and Bobby Mason Sr., officiated the service.
Ms. Rose was laid to rest at the Dora Cemetery in Dora, Arkansas.
