BOWEN, Ola - Wednesday morning we received the sad news of the death of Miss Ola Bowen, which occurred at Ft. Smith Tuesday night. She was the oldest daughter of our former townsman, Harry Bowen, and had been living in Ft. Smith for some time where she was pursuing, with credit and success, the calling of a trained nurse. She was a beautiful girl, both in appearance and character. Her many friends here were shocked at the tidings of her untimely death. We understand that the cause of her death was appendicitis. The remains were brought to Bentonville and interred in the Bowen's family lot in the City Cemetery.
