WEST FORK — Ermal Berryman Travis has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. She died Nov. 28, 2009, at the age of 92 years.

She was born in Faulkner County, Ark., on Feb. 4, 1917. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Louis; a son, Don; and grandson, Donnie Travis.

She was a member of North Maple Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Southside Baptist Church, also in Stuttgart, and West Fork Baptist Church in West Fork.

She was the eldest daughter of nine Berryman children.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen England of Derby, Kan.; her son, Lynn Travis of Winslow; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen of Hot Springs and Mert of West Memphis.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Brentwood Cemetery, Brentwood, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Visitation was held Nov. 29 at Moore's Chapel.

Donald B. "Don" Travis, 53, of Garland, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, at West Fork.

Born May 10, 1942, at Stuttgart, the son of Louis B. and Ermal Berryman Travis, he was a truck driver for B.C.W. Transportation in Dallas. He was also a former employee of Richland Foods in Stuttgart. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the North Maple Baptist Church in Stuttgart.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie Travis of Garland, Texas; three sons, Donnie Travis of Fayetteville, Guy Travis of Almyra, Stephen Leech of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Debbie Watkins of Greenbrier, Debbie Travis of Mesquite, Texas; his parents, Louis and Ermal Travis of West Fork; one brother, Lynn Travis, of Winslow; one sister, Helen England of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995 at Brentwood Cemetery at Winslow under the direction of Moore's Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel.

WINSLOW — Kenneth "Lynn" Travis, 68, of Winslow, Ark., died peacefully Nov. 19, 2020, in the home he built himself. He was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Stuttgart, Ark., to the late Louis and Ermal Travis.

In his younger years he helped create hiking trails and preserve the beauty of Devil's Den State Park. He was one of the founders of Winfest Music Festival that helped raise money for the Winslow community.

Lynn was a master carpenter with an artistic eye and had a love for laughter. He enjoyed good music and the company of his many friends. His greatest delight were his grandchildren, N8 and Kennedy House and Abby and Lilly Shaffer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don Travis, nephew Donnie Travis and several true friends.

He is survived by life partner Leila May; daughters Chelsea Shaffer and husband Al of Springdale, Ark., and Jade House and husband Tim of Fayetteville, Ark.; son Taylor Travis of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren.

Due to covid, there will not be a memorial service. The family request that you send fun Lynn stories to his home along with a return address. These will be collected and mailed at a later date. This will be his eulogy.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale, Ark, 72762.
